1. Russia is the biggest country in the world by landmass, measuring 17,125,200 square kilometer's (6,612,100 square miles). It includes eleven different time zones and shares land border with 14 neighboring countries.

2. Vatican City is the smallest country in the world by landmass, measuring just 0.44 square kilometer's (0.2 square miles). It is also known as the Holy See. As of 2017, Vatican City has the smallest national population in the world.

3. China, as of 2017 has the largest national population in the world.

4. As the most linguistically diverse country in the world, over 820 languages are spoken in Papua New Guinea or 12% of the world's total.
